A complete day out for young and old
Welcome to Museum Klok & Peel. Bells have been made here in Asten, in the heart of the Peel, for more than a hundred years. There are educational hands-on activities for families with young children; culture-lovers can enjoy the extensive collection of bells and carillons. Nature-lovers can lose themselves among the fossils, not to mention the impressive skeleton of a mammoth. The museum is an unforgettable experience. Not without reason has the ANWB (motoring and cycling organisation) called it 'The best day out in North Brabant 2019'

Largest collection of sounding bells and carillons
The world's largest collection of sounding bells and carillons is exhibited in a time-line. Thematic exhibits cover the origins of the bell, the casting and tuning of the bell and bell-ringing. The large hall covers 'Bells from all over the world' and in the courtyard is a replica of the big bell of Notre Dame which was cast in Asten. You can toll a bell, see where the clapper hangs and play on a carillon.

The Peel on Sea
A new acquisition for the museum is the Peel-on-Sea section. This palaeontology section uses a time-line to show how the Peel developed through changing conditions over the ages. You can even walk on the ancient seabed aided by impressive video projections.
